New Features in BuildingOne 18 – for Optimal BIM and CAFM

BIM interfaces for Archicad 29, Revit 2026, and Vectorworks 2026:

The integration with the latest versions of Autodesk, Graphisoft, and Vectorworks has been thoroughly optimized. By leveraging new API functionalities, we ensure improved synchronization and more efficient data exchange.

General Technical Changes:

BuildingOne has been fully migrated to .NET 8.0, providing a modern, high-performance platform that ensures long-term stability and reliability. In addition, support for high-resolution displays has been further improved, delivering an optimal experience on today’s high-DPI screens.

A new single-user database based on SQLite is now available, suitable for productive use and also included as a demo database to simplify onboarding. Furthermore, numerous smaller optimizations have been implemented to enhance both stability and user-friendliness, resulting in an overall smoother workflow.

Data import:

The data import functionality has been significantly enhanced, offering far greater flexibility and possibilities. A major addition is support for the SQLite data source. Furthermore, data sources can now be parameterized, enabling more precise control over the import process.

You can now import not only master data such as persons, companies, and cost centers, but also structures (e.g., sites, buildings, rooms) and elements such as components, objects, and systems. In addition, documents and images can be included to ensure a complete data migration.

This makes it possible to migrate an entire external database into BuildingOne or comprehensively update existing data in a single step with one configuration—a process that previously required multiple steps.

Moreover, using BuildingOne.Utilities allows for full automation of the import, significantly reducing effort and increasing efficiency.

BuildingOne.App iOS / Android:

The app now supports the latest operating system versions, iOS 26 and Android 16, ensuring optimal compatibility and user experience. In addition, extensive stability improvements have been implemented to boost performance and enhance reliability in everyday use. These updates are designed to guarantee smooth operation across all modern devices.

Maintenance:

The handling of requests and actions has been further optimized. Thanks to improved processes and clear structures, requests can now be captured, prioritized, and executed more quickly. In addition, workflows for documenting and tracking actions have been refined to ensure greater transparency and efficiency. These improvements help reduce response times and sustainably enhance the quality of maintenance operations.

Report Designer:

The Report Designer has been updated to version 2025.4. Detailed information about the individual improvements can be found in the Stimulsoft release notes.
